Engineering Lead (CAMO)
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Engineering Lead to join our Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO). In this pivotal role, you will oversee all engineering activities to ensure continuing airworthiness, regulatory compliance, reliability, and configuration integrity of our aircraft fleet.
You will lead the development and implementation of the Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME), evaluate Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs), and coordinate modification programs to maintain the highest safety and operational standards.
The Engineering Lead will act as a key liaison with regulatory authorities and maintenance organizations, providing expert technical guidance and ensuring alignment with CAA.IRI requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the airline’s engineering team within CAMO.
- Develop, maintain, and implement the Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME).
- Evaluate and analyse ADs, SBs, STCs, and OEM/Authority instructions; issue customized tasks for compliance.
- Manage and implement reliability and continuous improvement programs.
- Monitor and resolve repetitive defects, reliability trends, and recurring technical issues
- Oversee structural inspections, dent & buckle chart evaluations, and repair assessments.
- Conduct and analyse engine condition monitoring (ECTM), borescope inspections, and performance evaluations.
- Lead engineering projects for modifications, repairs, and configuration changes.
- Liaise with CAA.IRI and external MROs to ensure compliance with Part-M and Part-145 regulations.
- Provide technical support during audits, inspections, and aircraft deliveries.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Avionics, Aircraft Maintenance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CAMO/Engineering roles, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of CAA.IRI Part-M and Part-145 regulations.
- Familiarity with B737 (300/400/500) aircraft (type holders preferred).
- Proficiency with maintenance and component tracking systems.
- Advanced English (technical reading/writing).
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Solid understanding of technical documents and data analysis (AMM, SRM, IPC, CMM, etc.).
Required Skills
- Proven ability to lead and manage an engineering department.
- Strong analytical skills for AD/SB/STC assessment and task development.
- Competence in reliability analysis and defect trend monitoring.
- Capability to oversee structural inspections, engine performance analysis, and repairs.
- Strong decision-making, situational awareness, and problem-solving ability.
- Effective communication and cross-department collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in developing AMP, MEL, and CAME.
- Valid CAA.IRI Part-66 B1 or B2 License.
- Previous experience in airline or MRO environments.
