Planning Lead (CAMO)
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Planning Lead to join our Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO). This leadership role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and optimizing the airline’s maintenance planning processes to ensure regulatory compliance and operational readiness of the fleet. The Planning Lead will oversee the creation and management of the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP), coordinate maintenance checks and inspections, and ensure accurate tracking of all airframe, engine, and component lifetimes. Acting as the central link between CAMO, maintenance organizations, and operational departments, the Planning Lead will ensure timely scheduling, efficient resource allocation, and seamless integration of maintenance activities with flight operations.
By applying technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and strategic planning skills, the Planning Lead will drive efficiency in maintenance scheduling, enhance aircraft availability, and support the company’s long-term airworthiness and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the airline’s maintenance planning team within CAMO.
- Develop, review, and optimize the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) in compliance with CAA.IRI regulations.
- Forecast and schedule maintenance checks, tasks, and inspections in alignment with operational and regulatory requirements.
- Track, monitor, and analyze the status of aircraft, engines, landing gear, and life-limited components using maintenance tracking systems.
- Prepare, review, and issue maintenance work packages for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Manage and monitor AD/SB compliance planning, ensuring timely incorporation of modifications.
- Plan, coordinate, and follow up on deferred defect rectification (MEL/CDL items) to ensure operational readiness.
- Support and coordinate audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews related to maintenance planning and airworthiness records.
- Analyze data and reliability trends to optimize maintenance schedules and maximize aircraft availability.
- Lead projects related to the development of planning tools, optimization strategies, and process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance, Avionics, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CAMO/maintenance planning, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
- In-depth knowledge of CAA.IRI Part-M and Part-145 regulations.
- Familiarity with B737 (300/400/500) aircraft (type holders preferred).
- Proficiency with maintenance and component tracking systems.
- Advanced English (technical reading/writing).
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Thorough knowledge of technical documents (AMM, SRM, IPC, CMM, etc.).
Required Skills
- Proven ability to lead and manage the planning department.
- Strong analytical skills in AMP development, scheduling, and optimization.
- Competence in tracking and analyzing life-limited parts, engines, and airframe components.
- Expertise in managing AD/SB compliance and modification planning.
- Ability to prepare, review, and control maintenance work packages.
- Skills in coordinating MEL/CDL defect rectification planning.
- Ability to support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills for improving aircraft availability.
- Effective communication and cross-department collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in developing and implementing AMP.
- Valid CAA.IRI Part-66 B1 or B2 Licence.
- Previous airline or MRO experience.
